funny, i was watching "an inconvenient truth" on a flight this morning. never sat down and watched the movie beginning to end (just parts of it since it's been out) but the case made in that film is highly compelling. plus, in college, my university was big on conservation and going green and the school of science was big on ecology and impact humans make on the planet. so 'end of the world' theories/facts like a malthusian catastrophe and global warming, disappearing coasts and the like were commonly addressed in classes. it's one of the few reasons i slightly favor science, couldn't ever really get into it because of it's dull nature (to me at a least)

Climate change is very real. Human influence on climate change is where the bs comes into play. If you peep the history of this planet, climate change is a part of Mother Nature. And it was going on long before we came on the scene much less before we became industrialized.

Trump isn't a threat. The media is giving a threat billion dollar tv coverage to create a boogey man. It's called propaganda. This isn't a political thread.
"Climate change" being a thing only matters if we can affect it. We don't like volcanoes erupting near human settlements but that's not something we have a political movement to address because you can't do anything but get out of the way.
