Michael Jackson - The GOAT. My introduction to music
Aaliyah - complete shock, and she was so young. Had a crush on her. Only a few years older than me.
Whitney Houston - my first celebrity crush
2pac - favorite rapper, top rapper in the game at the time being killed in his prime? That isn't supposed to happen. Not to mention, this dude was an actor. Just an incredible loss of potential.
Bernie Mac - Chicago homie, just saw him a couple years prior to his death at a book signing
Walter Payton - THE Chicago sports icon before MJ.

I still haven't quite processed Prince's death. Like MJ and Whitney, he was one of THE icons of the 80s I remembered growing up.

TBH the only one I felt sad about was Aaliyah and I was like 11 at the time and she was my favorite singer :francis:

I don't feel anything when celebs die but I guess MJ was a little shocking...Whitney Houston too

I'll never forget when Sammy Davis Jr and Jim Henson died on the same day....yeah I know I know:flabbynsick:

I can't think of anyone that really had an effect on me...maybe Big L? :ld: He was the biggest rapper that never happened IMO
