Is there any doubt that tools and methods like these are going to keep future politicians ( or high profile activists) in check? Our government has historically done this on a low-tech level with the Red Scare, McCarthyism and digging dirt on Civil Rights Movement leaders, but now the tech allows them to do this on a much larger level.

they also have a program out that almost 99% true about porn internet activity that's linked to child molestation cases. i can't remember the details about it. they said that just by the internet activity they know who the ppl are but can't persue on it cause there's just too many ppl and it's gonna be too expensive to go after all the ppl. i heard it said on the glen beck show a few weeks back.

I believe that. I'm sure they've written algorithms that can detect behavior based on browsing history. Its just statistical data mining with a purpose.
