Man....Iowa, outside of Des Moines (and even that's skeptical) is a red state.

Not saying impossible, but I don't believe it. I see her potentially seizing some swing states. We may see trends of red states going soft red (i.e. Georgia, Texas, North Carolina) though.

DES MOINES, Iowa —

The findings of the latest Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll have been released just days ahead of the 2024 election.

The poll found that Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris now has a slim lead over former President Donald Trump.

Harris leads 47% to 44% among likely voters, the poll found. This comes just more than a month after a September poll showed a narrow Trump lead.

The Register says the poll included responses from 808 likely Iowa voters and was conducted from Oct. 28-31 with a 3.4 percentage point margin of error.

Trump won Iowa in 2020, beating Democratic candidate and eventual President Joe Biden, 53% to 45%.

Yeah, Iowa is a real bellwether and why so many candidates focus their time there. This is good for Kamala. Iowa has never really been in play for for Democrats in decades.

She is also not winning Kansas, but she is only down 4% or 5% to Trump in that race which is almost within the margin of error. I am not sure what people are seeing to make them think that Trump is ahead in this election.
