Queen Latifah shouts him out all the time. You definitely heard his name before. She always gives him credit. He's very savvy. But I always wonder how he got the name Shakim.

I'm pretty sure he said he's 100 percent.

Forgot to list KK Rosemond in my update. He used to manage AZ and Jaz-O. fukks with Badu.

Dope. I think I may have heard his name or saw him in a photo or interview.

Hip hop needs managers like him.

On this week's episode of IDEA GENERATION, writer and filmmaker Sacha Jenkins takes us on a journey from his childhood in Queens launching his own underground rap and graffiti zines, to pioneering the culture-defining magazine EgoTrip. Eventually Sacha would move into the world of filmmaking, directing the critically acclaimed documentaries 'Fresh Dressed,' 'Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men,' and his latest work, 'Louis Armstrong's Black & Blues.' And it all started with one idea

Rosemond’s star client, Ice Spice, secured a Dunkin’ campaign in September, which included her own drink and a commercial with Ben Affleck that aired during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, where the 24-year-old rapper won best new artist. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Hip
Hop and my Haitian heritage, this post is meant to highlight several Haitian American managers and Execs in Hip Hop.

1. Harve Pierre - Current President and partial owner of Bad Boy Entertainment as well as Head of A&R / Head of Music Publishing. He has been with Bad Boy since the inception and has been part of shaping every aspect of the label's groundbreaking success, including managing the entire Bad Boy Music catalog since its beginning. He currently oversees Finance, Creative, Radio & Street Promotions, Marketing, A&R/Administration, Publicity, Digital, Content Management, International, Business Affairs and Sales divisions at the label. Harve also oversees Bad Boy's video, Sean Combs personal video content and music archive. He went to Howard University with Sean Combs, Mark Pitts, Don Pooh, and Derek Angelettie. Harve also performed under the alias Joe Hooker.

I wonder what he is up to nowadays with the current situation going on with Puff.

Wallace Joseph - SVP of A&R @ Warner Chapell Music

That makes three SVP's of A&R for three different music labels. That's impressive.

Laying low, and keeping his head down, as he should. Did you mean work wise?
