What has me worried is when masai was up In The air I thought maybe these horrible signings and draft picks were Bobby Webster as he had one foot out the door.

now I know it was him all along he’s now teetering on joe Dumas in the middle 2000s status

That's what I'm saying. He knew he was staying, so what's with these personnel decisions.

Gotta give it time breh. It took us seven years to build a chip team last time, mainly because Americans don’t wanna sign here. Unless you’re the Lakers it takes time to build a contender and our fanbase doesn’t want to believe it but we are sort of starting from scratch again after our championship team has basically been disbanded. Realistically, even if that team stayed together this upcoming season would have been a rebuilding season anyway given that Lowry is aging and Kawhi wasn’t gonna sign longer than two years anywhere last time he was a free agent.

We gonna suck this year for sure but that’s just part of development sometimes. Ima just enjoy the breakout games from developing players. The fact that we have NEVER signed a big name free agent and still won a championship speaks very well of our management team. Now, I don’t like this all defence all the time philosophy that we’re building but I’m sure we will correct course after we win 30 games this year mainly because we can’t put the ball in the hoop.

Why is it the Jays can sign marquee guys in FA even when theyre bad and the Raptors havent been able to land ONE in 20 years...BTW after 2011 it took the Lakers 7 years to be a decent team again...This team is gonna have a decent starting 5 i dont think were gonna suck that badly despite the misteps in FA....

AJ Burnett in 2005 was the top pitching free agent picked us over all the Yankees Red Sox and dodgers when we were crap...Clemens was the big one in his prime left the Sox and signed in Toronto when we were a .500 team......strange the Jays have always been able to do it but never once the raptors....

Pretty sure they're actively trying not to win. Masai knows the Raps can't lure FAs for some reason and there's no premier player being traded for pennies on the dollar like Kawhi was...the only viable option may be to tank until they land that #1 option
