Just thinking about this reminds me how damn strong their projects were..
The first listen to a death row cd eclipsed just about anything for me in music .. - maybe a new Michael Jackson album or something from Outkast was the only product close.

Let's not forget Gang Related or Aboce the Rim though..

& yes I rank Safe and Sound by DJ Quik that highly...

Not really a Death Row album but if it were it might hit my second spot. Top to bottom classic.

i guess I could throw either Doggystyle or the Chronic there but truth is I never revisit either album nor do I feel they aged as well as any of the ones I named.

I think for the most part they aged well, maybe Doggystyle more than The Chronic, but those are albums that were played so much I rarely revisit them either.

Yeah I had trouble not putting that in mine too, I can front to back that album a few times a year to this day.

We may have talked about this before, but what's the OG version of it?

It has the remix versions of unreleased Dre songs, they inserted Top Dogg, VK and other artists on the roster at that time. I'd have to search my drives but off the top of my head "Ho Hopper", "Mr. Officer", "OG To BG" and a couple others. Then tracks like "Because Of U Girl" original has the Outlawz on it, "Late Night" original has AMG and Quik on it instead of the Outlawz, there's a few others like that. There's a couple radio versions of songs with alternate lyrics where they're dissing different artists as well.

Tracks 1-17 are great

Seriously though, I'm incredibly biased towards the Dogg Food album and what works for me isn't going to work for everyone else. Give it another listen and judge for yourself
