Shout out to Scotty Summers for cracking the top 10 2 years in a row.
Cyclops has been the mosr fleshed out and well written character of the last decade IMO. his popularity is long overdue.

In that arc, the Kingpin finds out who he is and basically ruins his life. His connections in the banks and courts freeze his bank account, get him fired from his job, Fisk's people even try to kill Murdock straight up. Matt loses everything, his home, job, his friends, even his costume.

Left with nothing, he steps up. And fights back. And goes hard for his city

Most superheroes are to us because of his powers. Daredevil is that dude because of how hard he goes despite lacking super strength, flight, billions of dollars, etc. Just a blind dude with radar senses riding for his city because the people need someone

14 of the top 25 characters are X-Men, but Marvel still trying to bury them

Even on the current list, Spider-man is #1, Venom is #40, and that's pretty much it. It's surprising that Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, and Kraven the Hunter didn't make the list at all. (Shout out to JJJ-- even though he's not top 50-worthy, J Jonah Jameson is hands-down one of the funniest characters in the Marvel Universe)

Oddly enough, the Human Torch never made the list either, even though the other major characters involved with the Fantastic Four did, with...

Invisible Woman at #39,
Mr. Fantastic at #35,
Silver Surfer at #33,
the Thing at #11,
and Doom at #5.

I noticed Ghost Rider wasn't on the (2015) list either.

At the risk of stepping on some toes, I don't think Carnage even deserves to be on a top 50 GOAT Marvel characters list. He's too one-note.

me either about carnage... and with venom he's already just a lesser clone

i just figured with spidey being one, most people would have his foes with him... seems most people only care/know who he is and not all the surrounding story
