:jbhmm: most of those struggling states are red too and the cities listed have a high concentration of minorities. May not be related but 9 of the 10 have major sports teams there too. None of the ones on the list with the least amount of distress have sports teams. Oakland lost all of theirs. I wonder how they came up with this, because that list does not compute but it says it's basing it on overall credit debt and credit score so I don't know.

The methodology on this has to either be BS, or the obvious isn’t being stated. Those cities/metros have the most black ppl. If you were to do a list or most middle income black enclaves, some of those same cities would be on that list. Fact of the matter is, how many black ppl live in anchorage vs the number of black ppl who live in Atlanta? I wouldn’t mind living in Scottsdale at all, personally. AZ is beautiful. But even with the large number of black transplants from CA, it isn’t much blacker than Miami. Which in its self isn’t very black(anymore).

Anchorage, really?
:comeon:
Honolulu Hawaii is weird too because both places have higher prices for everything because of a smaller market and shipping costs. Land, fuel, and food are at a premium there.

And they mustve ignored all the junkies in Oakland for this study too. Financial security indeed:mjgrin:
