My guess is Chris Rock thought some of his people would inform Tony...BUT that is your brother. The night before it starts you should call/text him or something.

And Tony was just saying several months ago that he wanted to fight Will for slapping Chris.

Meanwhile Chris won't even pick up the phone

And Will and Jada actually put his unfunny ass in his first sitcom:picard:

What he just told the public is waaaay worst than that slap at the Oscars:gucci:. Why be your brothers keeper so tough, but then go on a unknown podcast and suddenly let it all out smh?

Im sorry, but unless he got 10 times funnier than he used to be. Tony Rock isnt the first person that comes to your mind for a black comedy. Even if he was your brother:francis:

Edit-Hes also not the 10th person, just for clarity. Hes who you remember you forgot to put in the movie at the wrap party.

"Oh shyt,I promised Tony a role as black landscaper #2. Hopefully he forgot:francis:"

Does not seem like a close or not close thing, but instead Chris Rock is a weirdo. Why would you tell your brother he is going to put you in a movie but never sets you up with or have someone from casting reach out to you before shooting? Why would you have someone not just the day of, but when shooting is about to start.

He does not owe him anything but it is odd given that he does not have any at least outward issues with his brother, but his mental issues may be a part of it:

It aint nothin wrong with that nikka.
Somebody told him he got Asperger's to try to play him. Guarantee it was a woman.

He went to a doctor and the doctors always wanna diagnose u with some BS and push pills on u.

He just don't fck with his brother. He likes being in the presence of craccaz. It's all good.

But if my brother or my nikka do to me what he did to tony, I'm only keeping it cordial wit bro.
We just blood related. Them craccaz is ur brothers bro

Eddie put Charlie Murphy in Harlem Nights and I think another film too. Plus he took care of him when he was sick.

It can be hard putting your family on if you came up in the “traditional” Hollywood system versus coming in independent. Eddie and Chris came up in the traditional Hollywood system and had to grind it out so I could see them expecting the same of their siblings whereas the Wayans and Spike Lee came up making their own way and putting their family on was more of an extension of need than anything.

Either way if MY brother had been grinding it out as long as Tony has, he’s more than proven himself and i’m helping him out. But Chris has dealt with a lot of trauma in his life (Pre-Slap) and when you’ve been victimized the way he was at a young age it can lead to a “Me Vs Everybody” mentality where you might just not give a fukk.

Have to disagree. Eddie was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. He could've got Charlie roles on any project he did, even if they were just minor, non speaking roles. Same with Chris. He didn't have the film success Eddie had, but he was still one of the bigger stars in comedy and the white folks probably thought he would bring in the kinda money Eddie had. For whatever reason he just never helped his brother. Real piece of shyt behavior if you ask me. Even if you and your sibling aren't close that's still your sibling. Me and my brother ain't close but whenever he ever needed me I was there.
