Exactly.
They both took less than max to keep the team together. Harden just wasn't down with the program. I think it's a great statement by Parker. He said it's a win-win. You get all the dough, and you get to be the man, but he has to hope the Rockets really build around him with SOLID players. And that's a toss up. On the other hand he takes less money, but gets deep in the playoffs every year.
Maybe he will turn Houston around and get them deep, but it's heavy competition in the west, so I doubt it. I like Harden and wish him the best either way.
