I said it last night; other than Starks vs FTR #1, that was an episode of Dynamite. The whole selling point of Collision was that it would have a different feel than the Wednesday night silliness.
Miss Kenny doesn't belong on Saturday nights.

AEW needs to send her to ROH and put Athena (and her lil crew) on Wed. and Sat.
But this is the social media era. And she was able to get more attention on AEW with one picture of the back of her than the whole women's division did throwing their bodies around the ring to crickets. She has the complexion for national attention, but the build for the other kind of attention that actually gets people watching the product.
Putting her around women who can work, who have personality, and who expressly don't look like her is the best way to set her up for success long-term. Because Mercedes and Trinity can't be a long-term plan for them. So they need to build people. And you can't build around Athena any more than you can Mercedes or Trinity because of age. Willow is a layup that Khan will find a way to airball because godforbid a female powerhouse also isn't a size 4.
But the group won't get burn without someone pale in it, that's just the truth and we all fukking know it. They found a way to make the rapping tag team about the 60 year old white guy ffs.
Julia Hart is already set with what she's doing or I woulda said her. She'd work even better since we know she actually be around black folk on purpose
Plus she's noticeably improved in the ring and is VERY young so she got hella time.....But having her go from the House of Black to a...Stable of Black Women would lead to some uncomfortable twitter jokes from cac beards that I don't want to bait.
Hate on Skye if you want to, but AEW's women's division has... her and Julia right now under 30 and worth doing anything with. Like... that's it since Hayter had to return to her home planet or whatever, and Statlander's first name since returning may as well be Orange. Who else is there that doesn't need to get a work visa before they can debut?
