Why does this stable keep fighting each other
This is the important question. With Hobbs, Takeshyta, Ospreay, & Silly Hair, the Callis Family could be booked as a faction full of killers. Actually, that group could be what the Midcard Mafia was supposed to be, or even a United Colors of Benetton version of The Hurt Business. Why does this stable keep fighting each other
Meltzer making it his life’s mission to defend AEW is WILD and mind boggling in real time . He called the Dynamite number EXCELLENT because it was 2nd behind the NBA.
He then doubled down and said Rampage is in the top 10 every single week, which is also good

It wasn't an excellent number at all, it was very mid. The problem is nobody including Meltzer OR the posters in this thread want to be truthful about their positions. People would rather stooge than have real conversations.
It's likely that Warner Bros. is satisfied with the number because while AEW hasn't grown at all, it's holding on in the 18-49 demo whereas many other shows on TV are falling off quicker as cable cutting roars on. And that's really the only thing that matters, is WB (or someone else) going to give AEW a good deal.
How is that the only thing that matters? We're supposed to throw a party for them for simply existing?
all this "Well this will all end when Raw moves to Netflix" or "When AEW signs their new TV deal, nobody can talk ratings anymore" talk online is silly, there will still be comparison points between the two companies
Yes, by marks who have nothing better to do. Nobody else will care. It doesn't matter what RAW does on Netflix, the deal is locked in for 5 years and they will be making a killing. Netflix doesn't even release actual numbers so nobody will know how it's doing..
For AEW, if they do get their TV rights increase and an extension, are people really going to sit around and debate for 5 years every single week about whether 800k is a good number or 700k is an awful number? You're right, some marks will but everyone else will move on the other shyt
