AEWs had a direct impact on contract negotiations and leverage for agents but that's the extent of it regarding WWE.AEW basically was getting hot twice; the first time from when Dynamite started til Covid, then again in Summer/Fall 2021. We couldn't really get a good feel for how WWE would react to AEW getting hot the first time because of Covid. That WWE stepped their game up in 2022 in part as a response to AEW coming out hot in Summer/Fall 2021, signing Punk/Bryan and doing 1.2s isn't far fetched.
I don't think HHH/TKO have done anything particularly special or over the top since the process of them taking over began, they gave production the modern face-lift it needed and tightened up the product with some common sense and stability. Vince was 10 toes deep into his out of touch phase during the Bryan WM and that was 10 years ago, everything they've done to "step their game up" happens the same once a senile old man isn't in charge anymore, whether AEW exists or not.
