AEW did a pretty bad job on this Owen Hart tournament.
I get the winner of the tournament being #1 contender at All In, but to stretch an 8 man/woman tourney over 8 weeks is crazy. Whichever wrestlers win their 1st round match this Sunday at Dynasty, and if they make the final, they will only have 1 tourney match (their semifinal) in an 8 week span. Makes the tourney forgettable.
I think this tournament should have been 16 men/women. AEW has enough people to fill those spots, and also, more matches with more stakes can start more feuds for down the line.
Men that could have been in- Samoa Joe, Hobbs, Cope, Christian. MJF, Omega, Lashley among others.
Women that could have been in- Willow, Penelope, Mariah May (ok, the womens would have been tougher)
