Don Callis is kinda underrated as a commentator. He killed it as Cyrus the Virus in ECW
No argument on that. Merging the group was not a wise move. Killer mash-up theme though.
It made sense in that the storyline happened around King of the Ring 98.... two years ago at King of the Ring 96 we had a "sober" Jake the Snake that made his return trying to become King of the Ring for redemption. Unfortunately Austin beat him in the finals and cut his infamous "Austin 3:16" speech mocking Jake being reborn and Jake was shortly gone afterwards. Jake being the Higher Power was supposed to be revenge against Austin.... at least that's what I heard.
In retrospect, the NOD pre-Rock leadership should be looked back on with
when it comes to what it was compared to what it could/should have been.
Even more crazy is that they were rapping.
