He went from the NFL to being that legit great at wrestling. Not having a limited moveset. Just being a great technical/ athletic/ speedy wrestler
I know NWA definitely had an older audience. WWE had a younger crowd.

PPV audiences look older every now and then but you're right. At the time, a lot of older fans were turned off by WWF's product and either stopped watching wrestling or just watched NWA.
