End of the year thoughts and random ass observations:
* I'm going to miss Kenny the most out all the departures. He was probably my favorite player on the team. Just a low maintenance guy that was always open and did his thing. Besides, he's from my hometown and I went to Dr. Phillips for two years.
. I guess Kermit will have to take his place as my favorite; another Orlandoan doing their thing at FSU.
* Going to miss Joyner too, but dude had a volatile personality. For a senior, he did stuff that sometimes got me beyond heated. If we got an untimely un-sportsman like conduct penalty on the defense, I was almost sure it was Joyner before a name was announced. I threw my FSU fitted like 30 feet across the room when he got that conduct penalty against Auburn after that big stop for a loss by Brooks. I'm pretty sure they scored on the next play.
* Kelvin has a lifetime pass from me. I could catch Kelvin in bed with a woman I love dearly and I'd be like, "
."
* I think Stork was the weak link on the line. He got beat... a lot. I'm not sure if Barron as a fulltime starter is going to be better, but I don't it's going to be a hard fill or anything.
* Bobby Hart took a huge step forward this year. People talked about him being a bust and lazy and all that, but he was more than serviceable.
* We're going to need our DT's to make a leap next. We have a lot of talent at the position, but no real linchpin currently. I think Goldman will be the guy. For as big as NLS he gets moved around wayyyyyy too easily. I saw dude leaving the Moore center one day riding a bike. Dude looked like Babar or some shyt on a Huffy.
* Secondary should be sick. I want to see how Darby looks next year once he regains his speed. He played really well this year without it. I'm not crazy about moving Jalen back to CB. I know that's the chatter and is what is supposedly going to happen, but I'll believe it when I see it. I think him at safety allows us to get the most secondary talent on the field.
* I thought we played well against Auburn's run offense. They didn't run for no damn 500 yards like I said they wouldn't. Surprisingly, most of their big plays came through the air.
*Devonta should go pro. He's going to average like 8 carries a game next year.
* MEJ can be a really
great player. He's still really underdeveloped physically. He's really soft and pudgy up close. He doesn't even look like a football player to be honest. I think he'll be disciplined over the summer and go hard, because he's knows next year can be his money year.
* I think next year's team is going to be even better. I think Jameis is going to be better, therein making the team even better. Next year's schedule is tougher, but we're absolutely loaded. The only question marks I have are DT and kinda at WR. We have a lot of talent there, but need some guys to step up there also. I'm interested to see how Ermon Lane does.
. Jimbo's going to have every toy imaginable on offense.
It was a HELL of a season gentleman. I had no idea we'd win the title this year. It was really surreal seeing it up close and watching things unfold. I thought we were a 2-3 loss team in the offseaon, but everything just started going our way. I remember watching the Pitt game in the first quarter with the
face, because we looked kinda sloppy. Lol. Anyways, I can't wait to do it again.
