shyt was easier to understand, when ravens are.in cover 1 they are going to set reed up to drive on a route and another route will be broken off to the outside where Reed has no shot to get to it

Since Ed is Ed they need to put pressure on him to choose a route because if they took the normal route of just trying to cross up the underneath coverage Ed was just gonna be sitting there waiting for the ball. It's bananas to think they're talking about flooding a single player so their pass game can be comfortable when they usually try to flood a coverage.

its funny since I've been following college recruiting the last couple years all these young DBs in south florida worship Sean taylor, but Ed Reed was a fukking beast. the stuff he did, especially his last couple season at UM were just

ST was a physical specimen and had the violent youtube hits that you could watch 1,000 times in a row

but young DBs should master their fundamentals and get the cerebral part of the position down pat, because most won't grow to be 6'3, 225 lbs and be able to still nimbly glide across the field like ST

They didn't start at the same time. Reed left after the 2001 season, and Sean was a true freshman that year.
