if OP didnt say that brady was completely washed, then this thread isnt a backfire.

brady didnt do anything fantastic with the bucs outside of recruiting.

dude upping the thread, comparing him to steph curry 30-40 point streak is on acid.

40 tds at 43 years old isn't fantastic :mjlol:

He brought more than just a better td/int ratio. He brought a winning attitude and confidence. He also was the reason they were able to get Brown and Gronk. Sure, you can say it was a super team but they certainly only became that after his arrival. Sure his defense was great for this run, but no one thought the defense was very good going into the year. Yal act like this team woulda won if Rivers or another average QB was in TB this year.

that winning attitude & confidence stuff is BS.

they compiled a super-team

i never liked rivers. but chit, the colts won just about as many games as the bucs this year with half the talent,

A decaying QB doesn't win a Super Bowl, period.

I am not saying he had his best season ever, but he was very good, and excellent when he needed to be. He was in a great situation, and he took full advantage of it.

AGAIN, im not in here arguing in favor of the OP or any of that.
im arguing about specific comments that were made.

props to him for taking adavantage of his situation, but thats pretty much all he did.

its a new era.

between the stat-padding and QBs virtually going untouched, more old ass QBs are gonna linger around and do that in the very near future.

:salute:

“That’s all he did.” :mjtf::russ::russ::russ::russ::russ:. You walked in a thread that is a decade old and said “if OP didn’t say he’s washed,” while having no idea what the history of this thread is and you look nutso and don’t realize it. The entire premise of this thread going back 10 years is that Brady is just about done and OP ups it whenever he has a bad game.

Word, so many other QBs of his era are on pace to do that. I’m pretty sure he’s the only one still in the league aside from Ben who hasn’t looked half as good as him for several years despite being younger. This is all speculative nonsense to discredit a remarkable feat. Like you don’t even have actual evidence to discredit it. You’re relying on what you think might happen.

Only if they stay in shape. You got Big Ben out here losing weight and taking care of his body for the first time in his career, like he didn't waste the last decade doing jack shyt. He's gonna be outta here after this season. But going forward I think intelligent QBs who take care of themselves will def last into their late 30s. Which makes the Rodgers situation so perplexing/interesting.
