It also fukkin sucked that macfarlane kind of started to drop the ball toward the end of the series by having cogliostro turn on spawn

Darkness #1 cover was one of the illest most beautiful covers of all time. I can still remember when I bought that shyt. I wonder what quality it is now. Probably somewhere in the garage. I'da paid for a chromium cover!

Speaking of chromium covers, nothing beats Madureira's wrap around X-Men Alpha cover.

Yep...I went all the way to Mission Gorge to pick those issues up. The ALL NEW, ALL DIFFERENT X-Men with Magneto, Rogue, Bishop, Holocaust, and Apocalypse changing things forever. Of course the most elegant cover of that era was Witchblade #1 by Mike Turner(RIP my nygga)
