at me being the only one who voted Jay
Because there are 4 ways to win a rap beef.
1. You outclass them on wax. You record a diss that they can't recover from, you expose them, you do what they do better, or you do something that they can't respond to.
2. You do something outside of a record that destroys their career, makes people think less of them, or plant an idea in the head of the masses that make people think differently of them.
3. Kill them.
4. Blackball them
Nas did number one. Nas achieved this by having Jay react the way he did to ether. IF Jay didn't react like a bytch MAYBE he could have turned the tide. But he didn't so this option was gone.
BUT, Jay made me personally think less of Nas as a person. I just can't respect a man that lets himself be disrespected like that and just takes it on the chin. Not only that, but he wound up working for him and he is close to him now. I'm happy they made up or whatever, but you know that shyt is still between them.
They both did a lot of things for the second option. Like I said, they fed the stans ammunition for a whole decade now, but Jay easily gets the edge for doing something that is documented and not just speculated like a lot of Nas' lines
I don't agree with that either because neither one of them is actually showing any type loss because of the beef. People call Jay a camel now, but he is worth half a billion and has pretty much everything going for him. People make fun of nas for the notebook thing and the Ls he took, but Nas is still well respected in hip hop and dropped an album that got a lot of acclaim. If you want to compare financial success Jay was going to win that regardless 9.9/10. Compare critical success and it's up for grabs and it's not like the beef hurt either one of them in that regard. No one really won this.

Jay-Z have all the accolades, and all the money, and all the accomplishment
and all the critical acclaim, i mean Jay-Z is pretty much perfect...... i mean
he convinced his fans he has to literally "Fight Ghost" to be placed amongst
the top tier.......and we know that Ghost....is Hov Soul......cuz Jay is perfect
in every aspect of life, a human being, i mean everything, Jay-Z fans actually
almost got me to belive that homey have golden fecal matter......he have just about everything
anybody in life can want......but he is the only person to ever get hit by ETHER.......
This is why the camel have two humps on his back.........Nas literally put his feet on Jay-Z back
and the pressure so was intense.....that it made 2 humps......a genetic trait passed by camels to this day due to the fact, of being hit by ETHER.....i mean Nas altered a whole species of animals.......
