That may be true I felt it in my shoulders like crazy but I cleaned up my form two months ago and dont feel it as much.

And yea I been doing dips ima throw some weight on there next time.

When I do them I make sure I lock my shoulders back and and 'drive it up' with my chest not my arms. Try to perfect your form.

I tried DB Bench but nothing gives me that chest poke like flat Barbell Bench Press. The DOMS next morning is :banderas:

My next chest move is weighted dips. That gives me the mass on my outer chest.

I do the calisthenic equivalent (pushups for flatbench and bodyweight dips for weighted dips) as a burnout after every set:manny:

And is that the only time you do calisthenics is during your workout?

Im switching my routine up starting tommorow until the end of the summer.

I want to know how many pushups and pullups should I do a day, but keep in my mind im lifting weights as well.

I took a break from weights for a month and did nothing but calisthenics and I did lots of reps.

But now since Im picking the weights back up I want to know how many reps or sets would yall say I should do so I dont kill my CNS and destroy my gains.
You have two goals that are contradictory. One is a high repetition goal, i.e. most push-up and pull-ups. When weight lifting, your goals can vary from high-repetition to high weight. When you are able to bench press more, your push-up numbers will go down. With pull-ups, if you are able to pull more with added weight, your pull-up numbers should go up. But as your mass and weight go up, your pull-up numbers will go down.

People who say this throw too much shoulder in their benching.

Try weighted dips looking down. That gave my pecs a nice wide fan to them that poke out the sides of any shirt:banderas:

yeah a lot of people have improper bench technique. puttin their feet in the air, feet on tippy toes, arms flared all the way out, tap dancin, etc.

i love weighted dips. they helped my bench a lot also.

Im trying to put more mass on im already pretty lean at 6'1 194 about 11% bodyfat abs are hard and very visible.

And Pushups make my chest grow alot quicker than benchpressing from what Ive noticed.

I know how to lift and gain weight, Im just looking for a way to add calisthenics in without my body getting overworked.
No homo but you got pics? Trynna get my ab definition up...
