Im switching my routine up starting tommorow until the end of the summer.

I want to know how many pushups and pullups should I do a day, but keep in my mind im lifting weights as well.

I took a break from weights for a month and did nothing but calisthenics and I did lots of reps.

But now since Im picking the weights back up I want to know how many reps or sets would yall say I should do so I dont kill my CNS and destroy my gains.

But im really tryna figure out the best way to incorporate calisthenics into my workout without overdoing it
Just do dips and chins on your upper days

It also depends on what you want to do/achieve. If you like calisthetics you might be able to do an all calisthetics routine.

Im tryna only add pushups, pullups and chinups and dips to my routine.

I used to do this when I did strictly calisthenics:

400-500 Pushups every other day
120-150 Pullups every other day
100-125 Situps everyday
2-3Miles M-F

But this is too much volume if added in with intense weightliftng sessions.

What is your end goal... are you trying to put on mass... are you trying to get lean... etc

Not swiping but why do 2000 pushups a week... what are you trying to achieve

Once you can answer that, then you can make a plan. I will say this tho. You can probably get more mass/strength from doing 10-20 sets of bench press a week. ~100-200 reps instead of 1200-2000. Save you a lot of time.

Im trying to put more mass on im already pretty lean at 6'1 194 about 11% bodyfat abs are hard and very visible.

And Pushups make my chest grow alot quicker than benchpressing from what Ive noticed.

I know how to lift and gain weight, Im just looking for a way to add calisthenics in without my body getting overworked.

anywhere from 6-12 reps is usually recommended for hypertrophy purposes.

aint no one said anything about flat pressing. :stopitslime: if you seeing more results from calisthenics than weights you ain't doing it right. :upsetfavre:

O ok just making sure. I def saw better results when I first started lifting doing pushups as opposed to flat benching.

But Incline and Decline is good money.

People who say this throw too much shoulder in their benching.

Try weighted dips looking down. That gave my pecs a nice wide fan to them that poke out the sides of any shirt:banderas:
