For a company that just embraced an openly gay wrestler (a black one at that ), it's hypocritical for them to hire a homophobic white supremacist. And most people know better than to put incriminating comments like that on Twitter. Especially when most companies inspect the social media accounts of employees and potential employees.

They did the bare minimum with Darren Young around the time he came out just a brief mention. He hardly got tv time shortly after coming out. It was only just recently did he get featured on T.V regularly.

It's also hypocritical to have guys like Kevin Dunn & Michael Hayes and numerous others with high power positions in the company given their history.

She doesn't seem all that bright when it comes handling social media. 2011 was around the time Controversial humour was big.

This is one of those situations where I'd actually have to defend The Rock tbh. Every criticism I've read about this movie was about how white his daughter was. People aren't oblivious. But I gotta blame this one on Hollywood. They're dead set on erasing this man's ethnic background when he's obviously NOT white. I'm gonna say it's less on Rocky having a non-white daughter and more on Hollywood being Hollywood and not wanting to hire a non-white person as a family member. He's getting bigger and bigger every year. Eventually he'll have enough clout that he can choose who is and isn't acting alongside him in a movie. When that happens & we still don't see POC acting alongside him, then the arguments will hold so much more weight.

I wouldn't say it's not realistic seeing who they cast as his wife. That being said, I'd say it isn't probable. It's not lost on the general public. Like I said, people aren't stupid. It's the biggest criticism that I've seen against this movie (from people who enjoyed it) and I hope Rocky and whoever works with him notices it because it's not just a few people who pointed it out.

Nah it just doesn't work like that anymore IMO. People say that the social media era makes people look stupid, but I love it bcus it exposes these prejudiced motherfukkers. While racism will always be prevalent, I just feel like it's way more difficult to get away with shyt like this anymore. See Iggy Azalea. Even tho she got those Grammy noms, she was pretty much dead to the general public (hence the canceled world tour). It's even more magnified in a company like the WWE, where it seems like every year the fans have more and more influence. They can be a pain in the ass but sometimes you get moments like this where you're just like thank god for these invested mf'ers.

On one hand, yeah, the WWE definitely has to be more socially conscious than in the past.

On the other hand, they still do shyt like have Michael Hayes around, and even *tried* to keep Bill Demott around in a non-trainer capacity (Until they got busted trying to pull that carny shyt....)
