I'm probably going off on a little rant, but fukk it racism particularly in wrestling(sports) annoys the shyt outta me especially since so many fans are minorities
If we heard something about Savage or Bret the little faith I had in these wrestler would be completely gone. I do think Savage was for the most part a good dude who wasn't racist. It might not mean much,but he did defend Tyson on one of the earlier Raws saying he thought he got a raw deal in going to prison. Don't think a racist would say that about Tyson especially back then...
Also I've been watching a lot of the E network and I seriously can't even watch some of these dudes knowing a lot of them were/are racist. I know there's racism in all avenues of life, but it seems pretty damn prevalent and outward in wrestling. I really feel for dudes like Bad News Brown that had to deal with that shyt.
As for the reddit poster mentioning Booker and Mark Henry. I think by that time the WHC had lost a lot of its prestige. It was clearly was secondary to the WWE title. Everyone ones the WWE championship was the main belt. All that matters is there still hasn't been a black WWE champ there probably won't be one for the foreseeable future. It kind of blows your mind when you think about it. Also his argument that there hasn't been a worthy black person to hold the WWE world title reminded me of the argument they make when they say a deserving black person is not qualified to hold a particular job. shyt is ugh lol
