It's not true at all though, he did the Breakfast Club twice. He went to Morehouse, he did an HBCU tour, he went to black churches and they basically ignored him except when he gave Obama props. Stop letting these black people in the media lie to you. Most of them favor Hillary, and second, they are offended by Sanders stans online basically calling black people stupid for not riding with him. They're being intellectually dishonest because they're defensive. He basically realized that he had limited resources and decided that it was no longer worth it because he was so far behind.

Sanders never had a chance getting black people because that goes through (a) churches in the south and (b) black women over 35 who were always riding with Hillary. Heck, they rode with Hillary over Obama for months. Sanders makes mistakes, but Hillary does too. It's just that he's the new dude so he has less of a leash. He has horrible advisors for minorities though, just horrible that one dude I saw that he hired sounds like a novice.

I'm not letting them lie to me I'm telling you what black people I know in Virginia, a primary state and an important state, have told me. I'm talking about a ground game breh. I'm not talking about going to churches and doing spots on urban radio. That shyt is cool but having boots on the ground will always top that shyt. Having someone from a campaign knock on your door and talk to you about the candidate, talk to you about your neighborhood, talk to you about your voting place etc will always beat the earned or paid media because it signals to the voters that you care and that you're aware. There's absolutely no reason for him to have not had a ground game in Virginia. And he's having the same issues in Maryland.

They tried that in South Carolina and realized that it wasn't happening and then started focusing their resources up north. I'm talking about the initial push. Sanders had more people and resources in South Carolina than Hillary. Once they saw that result, he said fukk it (I know people close to their advisors), even though he won't admit it. They're basically saying fukk the South and we'll get it back in the Northeast, Midwest and West Coast (where they will try to sweep). Also, remember that none of the party's delegates are supporting him so he cannot tap into their apparatus. Hillary has Obama's 2008 and 2012 campaign members running her ground game. I don't think Sanders has a chance there at all.

That may be true but there shouldn't be a situation where you give up completely if you're saying you want to be president. There's running for president and running to be an issues candidate. He seems like the latter

Not true at all. Obama didn't campaign in Kentucky and West Virgnia because he knew those working class white people would not vote for him. When you have limited resources versus someone with a superpac, you have to pick and choose. It's like you guys forgot that he's an underdog. You're looking at his fundraising totals and ignoring the fact that you have to look at Hillary's totals PLUS the superpac money.

He literally cannot afford to try to fight back in areas like that. He's too far behind. I have criticized Sander's campaign a lot for him making mistakes in how he approaches black people, etc., (well-documented posts in HL) but let's not be crazy here. Sanders is literally running against the entire Democratic Party apparatus.

Let Trump destroy the country and Rethug party altogether. We've been through worse as nikkaz, we'll be aite.
Exactly, nikkas ain't seeing the bigger picture, when this country falls the white supremacist structure is falling as well. I don't care about going down as long as cacs are coming down with us. :manny:

I'm a nikka I'll survive and plus I got my sights set on leaving this country :ehh:

And I understand completely about not having enough time or talent or money which are the three things you'll never have enough of. But he barely threw up any ads in our area and he's got the money to do so. That's all. People in this area shouldn't be clueless to what his plans or ideals are even if he is going against the Democratic Party basically

I'm voting for him because (a) I am one of those young, progressive, "post-graduate" education types lol...so I guess I fit the profile but (2) campaign finance reform is the biggest issue because nothing gets done until you take money out of it. How can I trust Hillary Clinton to reform prisons when she is getting money from the prison lobby?

How can I expect Hillary to legalize marijuana when the head of the DNC is a big supporter of Big Tobacco? I mean, it's all right there. Sanders and Clinton have the same floor, which is being completely obstructed by Republicans, but what Sanders signals (and a victory by him signals) is the end of the centrist-Democratic era and a return to the progressive party it's supposed to be. It means that being a liberal is not a bad word anymore and that we're finally done defining ourselves in the paradigm that Reagan created and that selfish ass baby boomers adopted. Also, as someone with an immigrant parent, and who knows what US foreign wars have done. I can I vote for HRC, someone who is 0-4 on all the major foreign policy decisions in her life?

I fit the profile just as you breh I'm just not feeling the bern. I like a lot of his ideas but there are others I'm iffy on. And maybe that's blind belief in her but I also know he's not getting to the general and I'll be damned if I vote for trump or Cruz or Rubio. I can't vote for that at all. And I don't smoke anymore so weed isn't a big deal to me but I get it. I've never asked anyone my age why they're voting for Bernie because I completely get it. But I've become more pragmatic watching this damn congress in action for the past 8 years and with Hillary I believe we have a better shot at retaking the senate than with Bernie, therefore making it easier to legislate

My problem with that is, to retake the Senate, young people have to vote. If they did not show up in the midterms for Obama who they liked? Why her? I actually think Sanders is much more likely to get new and first time voters out there than Hillary. And as much as I hate to say it, she's a woman. The only group of people who are more comfortable with a female leader versus a man are Democratic women (by like 8%). Sanders is much more likely to get those working class white voters to come out. That's why he polls so well against Trump. Poor Republicans don't hate him.

I mean she would spend her first two years pissing them off. Obama actually got shyt done and they didn't show up. The second thing is, Sanders has been in Congress for 30 years, why are people acting like he doesn't have a more impressive legislative record than Hillary? I'm never voting Republican, and I'd vote for her in the general if I was in a swing state but I'm not :mjpls:. I'm hyper-pragmatic, but I start off by defining the goal. That is why I was not as hard on Obama as most. He did most of what he said he would do, people just heard different things when he talked.

Their records are practically the same which makes it a wash in my book. The problem with midterms is always the problem. But the senate is doable because they're on this ballot in November.

So after 8 years of Bill Clinton passing legislation that put more black men in jail/prison, another 7 years of Obama ignoring Troy Davis/Eric Garner, Civil Rights Rollbacks, and almost all black-related race talk until he absolutely had to, the notion of "the president doesn't really make the decisions", and "the president is selected not elected", NOW black people are shaking in their ̶j̶a̶y̶s̶ boots and calling people who don't support Hillary Clinton House Negros over the off-chance on Donald Trump being elected.
:jbhmm:

Just goes to show you we really do unfortunately need Trump in the White House to get black people of our comfort zone to mobilize.
