What a lotta people never understood was that this was never about Hilary. OR the democrats for that matter.

This was about putting the Republicans in the grave for the next decade. We can argue night and day about how much the Dems care or don't care, but what should be unanimous is that if we want to see any progress in this country whatsoever (whether in identity politics or socioeconomic policy) the right wing has to go and they have to GO FIRST. Losing 16 years and MORE of the executive office would've been a huge blow to their movement. A party changing blow at that. The fact that Trump was nominated in and of itself was their last act of desperation.
