A few months after the Attitude era ended and WWE was still blessing us...on free cable no less. There's some actually a lot of fun matches and segments from that time in 2001. You just gotta know where to look during that whole Invasion angle.

The ladders are hollow steel, but they can still cause serious injury i.e. Joey Mercury.

EDIT - And the chairs are made out of mostly aluminum.

i remember this being a dope ass episode of smackdown all around. Haven't watched it since I watched it live. What a time that was to be a wrestling fan.

Honestly you can look at episodes from 2009 and see that the crowds were having much more fun than they are now, and 09 is considered a down year(guest hosts & money giveaways).

oh yeah I can see that, but when I think about the WWE in 2009 or so, I can picture is pure boredom as far as the actual product. I think about peak super Cena, Nexus being destroyed, Sheamus winning that table match in embarrassing fashion, corny PG DX, CAWdy Rhodes and Charismaless Ted Jr, etc

Oh i'm not defending it, but there is a case to be made that it had more interesting angles than what we have now. The biggest standout to me in 09 was HHH & Orton having a GOAT build that led to one of the worst main events in Mania history
