I'm starting to notice that my chest is growing the slowest out of everything, but it's the body part that I want to grow more. I hit chest twice a week, should I increase frequency? Is there a certain exercise that hits chest better than others? All advice is welcome :takedat:

Are you doing a variety of incline/flat/decline and dumbell/barbell?

I've always felt like cable flys hit my chest pretty nicely :yeshrug:

Only recently incorporated the incline DB press.

Don't do declines too much at all, should I add that?

Personally, I've found the most gains by doing a variety of chest exercises.

I do a version of PHAT, where I hit everything twice a week, once POWER and once Hypertrophy.

Anyway, I rotate what I hit with the power/max lift each week. Incline/Flat/Decline/Flat/Incline/Flat/etcetcetc...works for me.

I heard some ppl say decline is a waste while others swear by it... thoughts? :manny:

Decline isn't necessary. Weighted dips are much more effective in building a powerful lower chest breh.

Do you have good rotator cuffs? If so the deep dumbbell flat bench is a good mass builder. So in your PHAT routine after your 3x5/5x5 bench on power day do 3-4 sets x 10-12 dumbbell. Keep the elbows tucked with almost a neutral grip though.

Incline barbell, incline dumbbell, incline flies, dips, dynamic flat bench w/bands or chains, push up variations, etc.

I just try and do as much work as I can. Whenever I hit chest, I do 2 presses and a fly movement at the minimum. Sometimes I will do 3 presses. I do everything but flat bench for 4-5 sets, twice a week.

shyt takes time though. Your shyt will catch up if you keep working on it.

You will want to build up your physique up equally. So if you have large pegs, you will want equally large deltoids, trapezius and latissiumus dorsi or you will look out of balance.

Some clown focused on his trapezius and grew that out of proportion to the rest of his upper body. Why? I don't know. He ended up getting his photo and story in some weight lifting magazine, I think it was an advertisement on how to build up your traps.

Routinely change up your workouts as it pertains to number of reps (high and low) and how much weight is used (light and heavy).
