Stop it breh. Tinashe >>>> FKA twigs. As a matter of fact, Kelela >>>>FKA twigs too

Are you going to still be saying this when she comes out with an album with half of it sounding like 2 on lol. Chick okay at best musically if she looked like india arie...0 spins and you know this. Shes not nearly cold enough to be able to stand on her music alone. You have to be an incredible talent to get on looking goofy a la Sia. Tinashe just aint that good of an artist. Hell Art barr the only nikka in here keeping it 100% music wit her. 86% of this thread is random posts of :noah: aobut how good she looks.

All these new age downtempo rnb chicks is imitators anyway. nikkas was making iller trip hop ages ago. Its like its the new wave to throw a bunch of reverb on your okayish voice get an ambient beat and a pretty face and away you go. Where the fukk is this gens portishead, somebody who is going undeniably change the climate of this style of music? I like FKA more than these other acts but even I can admit shes a low tier imitation of greater acts....

Its about the music over here wit me.....idgaf about looks or all that shyt that has nothing to do with the music.

Tinashe made her mark with me with In Case We Die, Reverie and Black Water. When the new joint drops, I'll judge/analyze it with the rest of her material and see how it stands up.

For now, I just feel Tinashe and Kelela are the best at this style in the game right now.

Tinashe has all the tools to be a star but she's being mismanaged

I think RCA was banking on her blowing up off social media but it hasnt really worked as fast as they hoped. I dont know the specifics of her deal, but they need to do actual promotion. it also doesnt help that she reached for a hit

I agree with you. I'm interested to see the finish product and if they made her water down her sound completely or the single is some bullshyt attempt to reach the masses, which has been a failure.

She's doing great management wise, she now has the radio hit that she needed to enable her to go out and tour. She's been on the road, selling out shows these past few weeks.

IDK man, I just view this type of music like i view hip hop. I might come off elitist but why listen to troy ave or some new shyt whne I can bump stillmatic? why bump tinashe when I can go straight to the factory a la portishead, cocteau, morcheeba, sade...you got to show me some unique shyt to keep my attention and judging from willingness to artistically sell out so soon I find it hard to believe she is not going to just stay with w/e wave gets her popping. The shyt is like an aesthetic for these byrds. The whole style is like a piece of fashion, ready to be thrown out whens it not hot anymore. I see through the bullshyt already...

I mean if you like her you like, but nikkas hyping her up like she the second coming and its laughable when its dozens of other females acts out there shytting on her MUSICALLY. Shes gorgeous and thats whats going to get her on if she blows, lets be real.

ain't shyt came out fukk'n with that record, breh.

she got other shyt just as cold, too.

i think you forget.
my favorite singers are bjork and beth gibbons of portishead.
so, all the shyt people have posted to try to say is this or that.
incomparison to tinashe is, not even on the level of bjork.
tinashe is the only black performer, i heard who consistently makes shyt on that level.
yet, has her own actual skill and not a cut and paste of sade or bjork, at best.
like sza is spooks meets esthero/sneaker pimps level ripoff of bjork.
i liked the first link of the chick you posted, though.
it just is not better than numerous tinashe records.
tinashe, has in a series of records like that that are better.
