Yeah your right now that you mention it. Its so many talented black women in the game doing interesting things at the moment:wow:

Tinashe is talented, but she came in at a time where its going to be hard to stand out from the pack. Talent alone won't do it,looks alone won't do it. Its a good and bad time to be a talented black musician.

You right! :wow:

Interesting. Nobody else had her name before?
Tinashe mixtapes is how some people heard of her. She had a following . In most Tinashe's thread you going to see a lot of people say she should had stuck to her mixtape sound and not go pop. She actually had 2 good mixtape that I heard, Black Water and Amethyst. Her Aquarius album was solid but after that she was searching for that pop hit.

You know I was gonna shed some sympathy because of the "lightskin girls are no longer vogue" trope that was going. But then I see Jorja Smith and Doja Cat still singing and having a career. So now I'm just wondering is Tinashe just really untalented? :jbhmm:
I keep seeing the singles from joyride pop up on playlists, so it makes me wanna check to see if it was actually worth catching. She fukked up by dropping two duds before it tho.
