After that Becky crap last night, was there a time where Vince was right with the direction of the company? We all like to shyt on Cokeboy because who wouldn't? The dude is a obtuse old bag of stale shyt left out in the gorilla, but there's no denying that he actually know what he's doing beyond the countless "WTF why is he doing this to A and B wrestler?"

For instance:

Fandango- Dude started out being just a joke character, but WM 29 happened and holy shyt "Fandangoing" was born:francis:. Not because Fandango did it or he was over AF, but because the crowd were a bunch of smarks that basically hijacked the show because I wanna get over, fukk the wrestlers":francis:. So Vince was like "You know what Pal, lets test this shyt since I'm right and their wrong":camby:.

The crowd was like:dwillhuh:, while Fandango was like :mjcry:. Checkmate WWE Universe:

Vince has been right more than he’s been wrong. Not excusing the shyt he’s done recently but I’d also say he was more willing to listen to the fans years ago. Now he’s a bit stuck in his ways and trying to relate to people who are at least 40 years younger than him so it’s tough

If there’s one thing he’s really been wrong about tho, it’s this committee of writers he has and has relied on for several years now. It seems like the product is better when it’s a small group of creative minds. Vince, pat, Bruce. Vince, pat, cornette, Bruce. Russo, cornette, etc. Having all these writers now just doesn’t seem to do it.

Does anyone know how many writers Trips has on NXT?

Was probably right when he invented PPV. :manny:

Was probably right when he sold his companies broadcast rights for a billion dollars. :manny:

@YaThreadTrashB!

respect his business and finesse game but as a wrestling mind I’m sorry he’s shown to be no better than anyone else.

he wasn’t behind hogan, he wasn’t behind austin, he wasn’t behind rock, he wasn’t behind the attitude era... these things may have happened under his watch but most of the best things you associate with the company he had no hand in creatively. time and time again we hear shoot interviews about vince being completely clueless when it came to developing characters and such. do i have to mention chilly mcfreeze and ice daggar?

he’s a boss no doubt and his vision for the business was next level and no one can ever take that away from him... but it’s no surprise that as vince has seized more creative control over the entire production with less input from actual wrestling people the quality of the product has fukkin tanked.

The burial of Zack Ryder
TBH I don't know why the IWC liked dude. His gimmick was some Jersey shore crap and that youtube shyt wasn't funny. I felt bad for the guy for how they did him on tv but that's it. Everytime I hear about him and Sandow being punished for getting themselves over I'm just like

Better dudes been mishandled. We been talking about mediocre ass Ryder's burial for like a decade.

Where did all the Ryder hate come from? :dwillhuh: No one expected him to be a World Champion but he was an over midcarder with momentum and a large following. A guy like that is always valuable to a roster. Also Ryder's burial is one of the reasons why few people nowadays have the motivation to get over by themselves.

If Vince decided to call up Braun Strowman he was right.

Dude got called in to fill in for Erik Rowan. Folks were mad he got to skip NXT when seasoned vets had to prove themselves in developmental whereas a green giant that looked like Samwell Tarly got to skip.

Now he is one of their most popular guys.

No one would have gotten harmed for Ryder to be a Mid card face for a few years. Especially with a brand split. That’s all the fans wanted for him. Ships sailed now tho

@YaThreadTrashB!

Could've sworn they did Starrcade before WrestleMania

Also Vince was smart when he started raiding all the territories best talent in the 80s.

:heh: boxing had been doing PPV for decades by then and in wrestling, NWA was doing PPV a couple years before Vince.

as with a large amount of Vince's "ideas" he got them from someone else and expounded on them.

as for this thread, he was right about talking his company national and out of the territories era.
he didn't "create" Hulkamania. Hogan was a big star before coming to the WWF, but he was right in pushing him to the moon. smarks will say in hindsight he went over everyone and was protected. well he should have been as shown by the record business and rating they produced during that time frame.
