Time to give Carson Palmer his props?

The guy is forcing it because he's down. I've watched a good number of his games this year. While he does make some wtf throws, I think he's playing pretty well.

INT's are backbreakers if you're up or the game's close. If you're down 20 and are trying to make plays...I think you should get a mulligan as you're more prone to throw into double or triple coverage.

That's what makes guys like Brady, ARod, Manning, Drew, etc. great cuz they can be down by a wack of touchdowns and still keep the picks to a minimum.

this year...when hes ahead or tied he threw 2 tds and 3 picks and bad completion %

last year when tied or winning....7 tds 9 picks

in contrast, our familiar alex smith is exceptional when game is tied or 49ers were up to the tune of 12 tds and 2 picks this year, and 13 tds and 3 picks last year

palmer is just a slinger who wont change his game no matter the score...and I dont see anything unfair about it. if you cant hold on to the lead and keep throwing picks...

Thing is he is that team's offense. Their running game is basura. His squad is not winning with safe football. But I can't really argue those numbers.

I agree, someone like alex has it much, much easier preserving the lead...but nonetheless...those numbers show that palmer is forcing the ball equally...hes just very inconsistent. he'll make an amazing throw once in a while...and then make an absolutely inexplainable, terrible throw that results in a pick or a near-pick
