I don't think people care about collegiate records when it comes to track and field. Everyone rallied behind Sha'carri because of the backlash she was getting due to her hair and nails etc... But 2 things, those that actually follow track knew her best times wasn't going to be enough for the Olympics, and she also promptly started wearing out the goodwill she had earned with people with her antics that continued all the way up to the Diamond League race. Really not sure why you all up and down this thread trying to paint her as some sort of victim. She was never good enough to back up all that cash shyt she was talking and most of us knew that before she was even suspended for weed.

ThInk of all the great track and field athletes you know and then consider what you know about their college career. She deserved to be acknowledged for her feat but the hype going into the Olympics was a bit much considering she never had a chance to even get on the podium. At this point it's highly possible she'll never win a meaningful race again so if she peaked as a college freshman you really think that was worth the hype?

I dont really even know what people are arguing anymore. Like she is continuously showing she would've got dusted in the Olympics and she is definitely not a shoe in for next Olympics. In contrast a women like Allyson Felix found a way to be relevant and medal at multiple Olympics.
