Huh?? When you share videos on Xbox you don't ever go out the game to edit it or upload it?

You don't have an Xbox one??? You can select certain moments to record without ever stopping ya game and if you want to edit it you can go and do it after unlike PS4. Share Feature is fukkin horrible.

Your stannery is leaking heavy :mjlol:

Here's the difference:
PS4 Recording
Personally, I think the Easy Screenshots setting makes the most sense so that you don't have to hold the button down for a second when you want a screenshot that might be easy to miss. If you want to stick to the basic setting, just swap "hold" and "press" for the rest of this section.

The PS4 is constantly recording your gameplay in a temporary file, so once you bring up the share menu, you can press the square button to save a clip, or select "upload video clip", which will save the video clip and bring you to the upload menu. Share Settings also allows you to change how much video is saved in the temporary file (up to 15 minutes), and if the PS4 records your microphone along with gameplay.

If you know you're about to do something that you'd like to capture, you can double tap the share button to begin recording a video.
XBOX 1
First, the quickest way. When playing a game, the Xbox One is also constantly recording video to a temporary file, but unlike the PS4, the buffer is only 5 minutes. When playing a game, you can say "Kinect, Record That" "Xbox, Record That," and it'll save the last 30 seconds of video. If you don't want to talk to your TV, you can double tap the Xbox button and press X to do the same thing.

If you want to record a longer clip, you need to snap the Game DVR app, either by going to the dashboard or by double tapping the Xbox button. You'll see an option to "End clip now" or "Start new clip". End clip now will let you record video from the past five minutes, and start new clip will let you record up to five minutes of video.
So from what I'm reading, you can only record up to five minutes of footage on XB1 and you can't do it without having something come on the screen and choosing an option whereas on PS4 it can easily be recorded by simply double tapping the share button thus never obstructing your screen real estate. Furthermore, You can record longer footage on PS4 and it can record up to 15 minutes of footage in the background automatically compared to the 5 on XB1. The only advantage I see here for Xbox 1 is that the record that feature allows for quick recording of something that JUST happened.

Essentially, you'll be needing to go out the game anyway on both consoles at some point in time to save your clip or to edit it. I fail to see where something sucks here. And don't even say "With kinect you don't have to lift a finger!" as I'm sure damn near half the XB1 install base probably don't even own a kinect since the non bundled XB1's are what's been selling lately.
So... what's with this whole "Share feature is fukking horrible" narrative?? :umad:?

I think consoles in general have been disappointing so far, but its still early in their life cycles. I didn't buy a 360 until about 2 years after it first dropped. . :manny:
Real talk I copped the 360,when Microsoft announced they were working on xbox one...

I havent bought a system day one, hell the first year, since the ps1:mjcry:

I usually wait a few years till I hop in and just enjoy all the piff and low prices from the consoles before:yeshrug:

Right now if Nintendo puts those refurbished Wii U's back up since 2015 for nintendo looks crack, I'll most likely cop that before the ps4...

I'll get one eventually :manny: no rush

Dude said I quote
You can select certain moments to record without ever stopping ya game and if you want to edit it you can go and do it after unlike PS4

Is that not how it works on PS4 also?? If i'm playing BF and I get a crazy sniper kill, the PS4 automatically records that, right??
On Xbox, it does it automatically right(up to 5 minutes).

Only difference is you can use the kinect to make it record the last 30 seconds. For those without a kinect, what's the alternative?? leaving the game to snap game dvr and choose start a new clip(Of which i assume can record up to 30 minutes now).

@Leasy Just admit you were wrong breh, you don't know what you were talking about. You dudes stay stanning but act like y'all not simply because "I have both systems" Look at how quick you are to defend that Xbox 1 still ain't have no screenshot feature and I'm sure you probably said screenshots don't even matter but now that XB1 getting an update for it it's all :blessed:

Stop it.

i've been completely out the loop this gaming generation but I was just about to cop a new tv and a ps4. figured there would be some great games by now. I see they got that bundle with last of us...never played that game so I figured it'd be worth it. but even ps4 owners are saying the shyt is a disappointment?....smh. might just get me a macbook pro instead.
