He likes it this way. You can't make the man do something he doesn't want to do. And you don't need videos to appreciate the music. He's also shooting the video to "relationship"

Thug fans won't admit it but truth of the matter is there is new wave of artist who basically rode the 'wave' thug championed and helped push frwd but he is now not at 'hot' x buzzing as most current of these current kids
...

The boat has sailed( Coz of his own antics, 300 etc bad decisions,) ..

He won't ever get back where he once was.. He 'could' salvage himself and his career to a point where he is still profitable.. But he won't never get back 2 that .buzz.. Industry hype he once had...

PAST 6 months has shown the truth of the matter is ' even with' drake exec producing his latest project x being Featured on commercial singles wit the like of diplo or Calvin harris or whoever it was hasn't done nothing for him to take his career to the nxt level

Have to feel a creative force like thug ' has the ability to create more joints and hits which should keep him relevant, but does he have the right business acumen and mgmt around him to monotenize the situation and maximise a talent like thug....

As it currently stands I'd say no

oh please brother @CleinB save me the sob story :russell:

Young man did you not pay attention to the numerous threads i've made documenting the current Business Model that Lyor and his minions (kevin liles...todd moscowitz..craig kallman..julie greenwald) have maintained within the past several years of not providing any tangible support much less artist development and backing to say the least...to protect the investment of the parent companies and financial backers of Lyor's "boutique label"??

Lyor is being praised by the industry for taking a 5 million dollar investment from GOOGLE/YOUTUBE along with his own capital (shares of Warner stock) and creating a label that operates on LOW MINIMAL COSTS and HIGH RETURNS...

and those returns are the STREAMING REVENUE...nothing more nothing less.....

and they can do that simply by allowing the BRAND to do what it was doing prior to getting "signed" by 300....

lyor showed THUGGA how he was pimping Thugga's massive presence on the web even though Thugga directed and partly funded the majority of his visuals..all 300 had to do was take the approach that industry pundit Marc Geiger described and sit back and just collect the revenue :win:

"We (major labels) are making $$ all we do provide the file and it's straight PROFIT"- MARC GEIGER

in laymens term like an industry cat told me ..it's basically "SHARECROPPING" :manny:

You really think you know better than dude who saved def jam in the 80's than strong armed russel for it? Call Lyle many things but he's a business man

Did you even comprehend what I posted?
:why:

I basically said LYOR is running a successful BUSINESS MODEL that the whole industry is following..

Just like when he introduced the 360 deal

I ain't Never said he doesn't know what he is doing... his methods have always worked since the 80s

Unfortunately for the artists it hurts more than helps them..unless they got some sort of leverage coming into the game like Jay Z had....

And for the record LYOR didn't save Def Jam..

Russell loves to spin that narrative...guys like Chris Lighty..Dame Dash...the Bomb Squad...Waah and Dean and Irv Gotti who should be the current president of Def jam saves and made the Brand prosper by doing the leg work while LYOR took the credit.....

Lyor comes from a management background...and to his credit RUSH MANAGEMENT is one of the best to ever do it...but he has never been a talent scout nor does he have an A&R bone in his body...

Which is why him and Thugga were bumping heads over his musical output and approach to publicity...

I was on the forum back in 2015 making the same posts regarding Migos.. Coli was telling me it was over and they were dead

But I was watching the whole world Dab and all I heard bleeding from people's whips was Migos

Thug music still impeccable. He's bigger than he's ever been at any point in his career (hence your analysis regarding his features and placements and him birthing a plethora of clones)

Ask @ignorethis how much is costs to book fool for a show in 2017...

I'm not talking about his music being bad or his creativity becoming mundane I'm talking about the lack of support from his label

As soon as Migos left Lyor everything (aligned and came together perfectly) got on track...

Travis ignored Lyor and he's out here doing his thing

What is 300s business model for promoting and developing their artists??

Not everyone trying to wear a dress and a nose ring and be like Thug. :yeshrug:Migos actually have swag in the way they dress, and people wanted to jump on the whole dab thing.

Thug's biggest fans who rode hardest for him were the edgelords who couldn't stop talking bout "pulling up with dem dikks" and other edgy bullshyt. :francis:

Say lil brother... I'm not a teenage tweeny hip hop fan.. I'm not trying to dress like any rapper. That goes for Thug and Migos

I'm a fan of their music. If you're still in that stage where you're trying to emulate then by all means emulate away

I'm talking about music and the lack of a quantified process or metric being used to put Thug's out.. if you want to discuss who dresses better you can start your own thread

Breh, you gotta be autistic.

You the one talking bout how people gave up on Migos, then next everyone was dabbing.

I'm tryna point out the comparison-and-contrast, and you out here strawman-ing.

If you just about the MUSIC, then why you even complaining? Thug steady dropping music. Nah, you worried about the fanbase and possibly-blowing mainstream. Well, then you gotta accept it - he only appeals to edgelords.

Define extraneous

You define extraneous and I'll define autism after

If you comprehended the initial post you wouldn't have responded with the disconnect that people gave up on Migos and they were dabbing after

I clearly stated that 300 mismanaged Migos while they were still doing their thing. This is antiquated.. you can go back to 2015 (search posts Migos related from 2015) when Dabbing was sensationalized across the nation and Migos dropped their album YRN on 300 with no label support

If you read the first post you would clearly see the legitimate complaint of "where are the singles"?? "where are the music videos??"......

So you clearly skimmed the thread lol...

People hate on lyor and 300 but real talk he is probably the only reason we got the slime season series.

:mjlol:lyor, a cac devil, had to school this nikka on making songs so that they can actually make money off him :mjlol:

:banderas:lyor the gay mafia don of hip hop, teaching new nikkas the difference between a song and a freestyle :pachaha:

Homothugga: "This year i want ten #1 singles "

Lyor the Cac: :whoa::skip::bryan::mjpls:
:lupe:"maybe if you write complete songs and don't abandon your freestyles like orphans"

Homothugga::damn:

Lyor the Cac::sas2: "if you keep putting on the dresses, you'll get studio time & more.....don't worry, i gotchu" :youngsabo:

Homothugga::mjcry: "you said i only had to do it one time"

Lyor the Cac::hhh: "NO Jeffrery, until you start dropping hits, you're going to be dropping draws :shaq:

this nikka is a idiot and would rather leak his music and do antics instead of focusing on making good music and communicating with his team on how to get it out.
People have stole his style and now are a lot more successful than he is
