That single hit hat hit on the 3 :wow:

It also aged better than his other beats. It wasn't only a beat, dude created a straight vibe.

People still try and sample it or or go for something similar.

Crazy dude been still producing modern beats and staying with the game though.

Cool interview regarding that.
I've only ever seen Max Martin and Timbaland ever admit they were outright hating when sounds changed, but great to see them do something about it and to move with the sounds.

So many already mentioned but from the later years this is a bit underrated.

And hang on, where's the love for Ugly?

I was going to mention that whole wave from 2006-2009 where he dominated with Nelly Furtado's Loose, Justin's Futuresex/Lovesounds, and his own Shock Value. Timbaland and Danja were on another level during that era where they were redefining Pop music.

Scott Storch had a lot to do with the creation of Cry Me a River. It is undeniably a top 5 Timbo beat tho

Might be an unpopular opinion but I honestly think What Goes Around has a better beat. Cry Me a River is a more well written song with a better hook. But when it comes to the beat alone, I gotta give it to What Goes Around.

That god-like beat switch at the end just puts it on a whole different level:wow:

There was a song on 1 of the Missy albums that had BG and Juvenile on it. Like a orchestra beat that shyt was crazy

Forgot about the beat switch and Missy Elliot on the tractor in the Ugly video! And Bizarre from D12 inexplicably turning up for a single shot as well. Now there's a thread idea. Random cameos in videos.

I've just a found a YT account with upscaled videos. Got nearly 50 in the queue. Really hard to believe a lot of these were 20+ years ago. We grew up on the good stuff.

2003-2004 was such an underrated year for Timbaland:

Lloyd Banks- I'm So Fly

Brandy's Afrodisiac album

LL's DEFinition had joints too.

Bubba's Deliverance album
