Tim Tebow’s season-long frustration bubbled to the surface Wednesday when the third-string quarterback took umbrage to all the character body blows that he’s absorbed in the past few days. Tebow’s pristine image as a team-first guy was stained by the perception that he told Rex Ryan to no longer use him in Wildcat packages after Greg McElroy leapfrogged over him on the depth chart to become the Jets’ new starter.

“You work your whole life to build a reputation,“ Tebow said. “Then people try to bring you down when they don’t understand even what happened. It’s disappointing. You just want to express your side of the story.”

Tebow’s version of events goes like this: On Tuesday, he expressed his frustration to the head coach at A) Not being named the starter (“Please let me play regular quarterback.” ) and B) His limited Wildcat role that often called for him to run straight ahead. (“I was frustrated running up the middle.”)

Tebow admitted that he wished he were “more clear” in the Tuesday meeting, because it’s “a possibility” that Ryan misinterpreted his message. Tebow realized during Thursday’s practice that he would likely have a reduced role against the Chargers when wide receiver Jeremy Kerley took the bulk of the Wildcat reps. Tebow went back to Ryan on Friday to express his desire to help out in any way he could, but it was clear that the coach had already moved on with the new plan.

Damage control on Tebows part

The guy can do no wrong in the eyes of many, he should come out and say that he felt he was wronged by the jets

Put it like this:
If TEBOW wanted to play QB in the NFL, he would have signed with Jacksonville instead of going to the Jets. he had a higher probablity of playing QB there than the Jets.:birdman:

Playing with the Jets does improve his ability to make money off-field though :mjpls:

in 72 hours Tebow has given 2 different accounts and Rex Ryan has contradicted both accounts.

And all their statements were supposed to make Tebow look good. :russ:

Dude is so full of shyt, just a shame the MSM dont want to accept it.

This is definitely on the #ITWAN list.

Don't tell your coach you don't want to play problem solved. Hell most media members gave you pass which I don't understand so don't be salty when a few you call you on your BS. You have an ego like most superstar players so quit trying to hide behind your "pristine" image and keep it real.

Funny thing is I believe Tebow a lot more than I do anyone in this clown show operation.

Both parties are at fault i think and should take equal blame. And then the best thing is to just part ways after the season.

You guys are so salty with the perpetual hate on a guy that won a playoff game last year, won a Heisman, National Championship and is probably the most genuine guy the league has.

Yet, you hate. :pacspit:
