TI, Wayne, Jeezy were on a run during that time.........

Jody had no material that could even touch these nikkas

I do feel like he was one of those guys whose verses r way better than his hooks. That might have held him up in terms of putting out a hit. The competition like you pointed out was sick at that time. I can't recall any of his hooks off the top. I just remember how he put his bars together in a very slick TI at his best type way.

Nah I'm talking about his flow. Jeezy had punchlines, delivery, and adlibs. He a special talent no doubt. But I'm talking about flow Jody emphasized that when it was his turn up to bat and arguably the only southern mc to FLOW better is TIP

Iono bout that breh, even when discussing flow:patrice:....Off top of my head around the time Jody was out cats I recall being out and actually making noise that could flow Jody under a table would be definitely Webbie:banderas:....gotta add Paul Wall to that:blessed:....Personally I liked Bucks flow better but that has partly to do with his delivery, already mentioned Dro:mjcry:...Chamillionaire was out there....not even mentioning cats who wasn't really makin noise that could outflow em....maybe the problem for me is the TIP thing,he did kinda remind you of TI,like he was tryna mimick TI somewhat at the time....but the shyt he was actually sayin wasn't nearly as slick as T.I making him just a very poor mans TI...he'd at least be more interesting and stood out more having his own style....I gotta say even Shawty Lo is more memorable in the ATL timeline than Jody was:manny:

Dude just has that forgettable thing about him even with having a "flow",he wasted it by not saying anything:heh:,he didn't have the right words to go along with the flow:patrice:...he was actually less talented than Ace Hood who people also question why he's not bigger, but majority of people just know he didn't have "it"

See and I can feel a lot of what u saying.. LO had those adlibs and that charisma.

But with regard to flow when we talk about paul wall vs. breeze naw man and I like paul too but he A-B-C-1-2-3 compared to breeze. Buck and Webbie good but their flow not a transition from line to line with staying in the same cadence as smooth to me. I don't know. If this many people disagree with me maybe it's just a personal preference that's an outlier.

Maybe you're right Breeze just wasn't saying nothing captivating enough.

I just know for me I don't intentionally seek out his music but when it come on I enjoy it cause the flow so nice. He like a craig hodges. Incredible 3 point shooter who couldn't do nothing else to the point where he couldn't crack a roster.

One MC that comes to mind is T-Rock. T-Rock use to wash the whole 3-6 just off flow and I'm a fan of that movement too. Maybe I'm just obsessed with flow like that one dude obsessed with multis but me just the smoothness of breeze music could keep me captivated for a 16... now... what the hook gone be? that's another story.

you don't even have your basketball knowledge right,..
craig hodges did not get resigned on another nba team.
all cause he visited the white house on some black militant nikka rebel shyt.
then, he had a crazy wife who tried to set him on fire.
while he sat and let her poor gasoline on him.
then, attempt to burn him to death infront of the whole team.
duke was lucky the matches would not light, as the only thing that saved him.

couple that together with a staunch bulls org, and the his dress and garb was viewed as disrespectful.
when, visiting the president, is why hodges never materialized anywhere else.

stop trying to make it like jody breeze was this incredible talent when he was not, ever.
he was just another southern guy given amenties and he did not produce quality music or a profit.
plus, i know so because i sat through those huff releases.
even the one when he dissed jeezy and it was a joke cause that shyt was nowhere near the content of 101.
nor the execution in the intangibles, or skill level of artistry as jeezy, at all.

Off topic but my girl and I dropped our daughter off with my mom tonight to wander Atlanta proper.

We were at a putt putt golf spot in west midtown and Jody Breeze and a/his girl were right behind us on our first 9. shyt was just random as hell lol.

We didn’t bother him or anything because we both believe in letting celebrities have their peace without strangers running up on them about bullshyt and work.

Glad he looked happy and healthy considering how many artists and entertainers can fall on rough times.
