Dude obviously has a substance abuse problem. I don’t have any sympathy for him either. The way he actively distanced himself from black people rubbed me wrong. He should have embraced his black side and he would have been a much bigger star.

Honestly this entire post was the first thing I thought when I dismissed the news notification on my phone. I'm kinda apathetic. Not one of those black people that claims kinda black people even when they actively shown that they don't claim you mutually/love you like that. I understand most aren't that cold, and it's tough to let go of the sentimental memories/past feelings but frankly black people need to get better at excommunicating weak links, undependable folks, c00ns, etc.

To the substance abuse issue, I group it with weight and mental health issues. If you're rich you have all the possible tools to help yourself at your disposal. Things that regular folk would be bankrupted by even attempting to utilize. If you opt not to do so it's hard for a pragmatist, such as myself to care. And don't forget that this isn't a 20yo athlete here. I'm a few years younger than Tiger and it's been a trip how much my body's healing has slowed down as I age. At 45 he's gonna take a lot longer to recover physically than a man half his age would have.

That was a shame. I remember that interview when he was a kid talking about the Masters and how Augusta national treated black people. That boy knew what he was and what he represented out there on the course. I guess fame and fortune got to his head, and he wanted mass appeal.
