Also GS is due for some injuries this year. They got lucky the last 3 years with all their western opponents getting hurt. This year it gets paid back. One of their key pieces will get hurt.

:hubie: Slow down Breh, Boston has a very good shot at coming out the east. In fact may be more than 50%. But the thunder:patrice:

I still think post all star break warriors will look scary AF. But thunder will be the 2nd most likely in the West IMO.

What now? Boston is #1 in the East. They are #1 overall in team defensive rating and #2 in point differential. Only team better than them thru 8 games is my pick to the win NBA championship....the OKC Thunder.

We in the 2nd month of the season

Boston won't remain the top of the eastern conference.

Still doubting my pick Bron stan?

Boston and OKC are the 2 top defensive teams in the NBA so far and lead the league in point differential. They've been bodying teams lately. Once they get into a rhythm, they are gonna smoke the NBA.

3rd best team is Golden State. Their defense sucks this year so my prediction of the Thunder beating them in the Western Conference finals is looking good right now.

And as I predicted, Cavs are GARBAGE.
Not even a month into the season, we'll see about all this in the post season. I guess you missed the part where I said the Cavs would too but I'll give you props on the defensive thing. I didn't think Baynes starting would bring such a boost. Like that Horford now at PF + Kyrie doing exactly what the team needs and is figuring out the offense more and more.

Check the stats fellas. Teams Opponent

My prediction of Thunder vs Celtics in the Finals is looking real good right now. Thunder and Celtics are #1 and #2 in point differential thus far this season. And they are the top 2 defensive teams. Exactly the formula you need to win the NBA Championship.

Crown me the top NBA expert on the coli. :blessed:

warriors aren't taking basketball seriously until april. Thunder better win 68+ games and get home court advantage because no one is beating GS without HCA

It'll take a cotdamn miracle for the Celtics to make it outta the East this year. They just don't have the talent (with Hayward out for the season), depth, size and experience to beat three teams. I mean shyt, their second-leading scorer is only 21, and their fourth-leading scorer is 19 - you can't expect both of those guys to contribute at a high level in a postseason environment.

They seem talented and motivated enough.

TBH I'm not sure Hayward makes that much of a difference.

Kyrie is a champion, so I know he can make it happen.

I hope OKC wins the chip just to see Melo retire with a ring and Russ is my favorite player. But the reality is Golden State probably still thumps them in the head in an entertaining 6 game series. :to:

Golden State's defense is terrible this year. I think people will be surprised when they "can't turn it on" in the playoffs and they lose to the Thunder.

This guy right here:francis::hhh:

I'm feeling good about that prediction right now. Bucks are .500 and not really playing that great outside of Giannis. Their defense is lacking thus far.

If Kyrie leads the Celtics to the #1 seed and 55+ wins, he'll win MVP over Giannis who'll have the Bucks barely over .500.

Stats aren't everything when it comes to MVP. You also gotta win. And right now Giannis ain't winning while Kyrie is.

More to the contrary. I expect them to keep getting better and better. Like you said they are young. By the time we hit May they'll be way more advanced than they are right now. If anything its a positive that they've been playing so well right now with such a young team.

Also don't count out Ainge to make a big move at the trade deadline. They have that pick from the Sixers thanks to the Fultz trade. They could move that for a talented veteran who is on the trading. Imagine if this Celtics team added someone like Marc Gasol. How good would they suddenly be?

Their offense looks great. By far the best in the league. But defensively they are in the bottom 10. Many people think they can just turn it on in April. We'll see about that. Defense is about habits. If you build up bad habits throughout the year, its very rare to be able to lose it in the playoffs. 2016 Cavs are practically the only team in the last decade plus to be terrible defensively during the regular season but then magically turn it on in the playoffs. I don't think the Warriors will be able to do that. Especially against a team as talented and deep as the OKC Thunder.
