Wouldn't that be the Rockers 2.0? Which was wasted on Toxic Attraction
Maybe, but it's a tried and true trope. I can only guess off of past stories. All I know is you can sense Melo had something to do with the attack on Trick and that he's seeping with jealousy. Just have to wait to see what's next, because I'm sure they are going to have to address the title match that was supposed to take place at New Year's Evil between Trick and Dragunov.

Has anyone… asked… big e how he feels about it?

Since everyone is writing think pieces about how offended they are for E… let’s actually ask him?

I assume his position would be the most important, no? And if he says he doesn’t give a fukk, we can stop pretending to lol

It’s like being upset and calling AEW tasteless for all the dead father jokes. If Nick Wayne and his family fine with it, who cares.

Ehh. I've never been a fan of one person being cool with something meaning that it should be alright in general. shyt like that is in the same logic tree as people thinking because one black person let them get off racial jokes, ALL of us should be okay with it.

If Big E isn't mad about it, good on him I suppose, but it's still pretty shytty to put a guy who has a history of being in the middle of situations that got people hurt (likely ending one guy's career) in a storyline/gimmick where he's getting people hurt. It's probably not going to get him the type of heat where he legitimately gets over anyway.

But in this situation I think it’s pretty necessary

Injury angles are pretty regular in wrestling. They just wrote Sami off with one. The problem in this instance is that the injury came from Ridge who very specifically injured Big E, possibly ending his career. So yes, this situation specifically involves E.

Again, it’s like the dead father stuff with Nick Wayne. My father lost his life in a car accident 4 years ago. I’m sure plenty of people on this site have lost their fathers… but if Nick Wayne and that family is absolutely okay with Christian making fun of his death in character, I’d be pretty silly to try to take some moral stand against it and say it’s in poor taste to make fun of Nick Wayne’s dead father when quite literally Nick Wayne, his mom and very specific people in question are absolutely fine with it.

This is a case of people personalizing and over sympathizing (and virtual signaling) with a party that likely is not bothered by any of it.

He's repeatedly gave a "accidents happen" type response and addressed not liking the shyt that Ridge gets on Twitter.

But ppl can't get rid of the "MAGA hurt Big E's neck" angle that ppl love to have in the backpocket to have something to complain about in wrestling.
I got no problem with it. It's actually old school carny territory shyt. I suggested they should've run this angle with Nia since everyone in the IWC swears she really hurts people like this.

It's not like they let Ridge drink someone's real blood or simulate doing lines with ugly skanks

:mjlol:

People were cheering Becky using "real injuries" in her burial of a promo last week.

You said only Big E's opinion matters and he said he takes the blame for the injury and no one should put it on Ridge. So people need to get up off him like he did it on purpose. Big E doesn't want hate towards Ridge so no one else should have any.

How can people think Ridge is "MAGA"? He's British, he can't even vote. 😂

All the stupid shyt that happens in wrestling this is where folks draw the line? Using something from real life and turning it into an angle is a tradition as old as time.

Also, lol @ he might get a reputation as an unsafe worker: 1. When you break someone's friggin neck that's going to happen regardless. 2. Papa Shango is going to get a reputation of being a witch doctor, Chelsea Green is going to get a reputation for being a Karen, etc. She sounds dumb as hell imo.
