I got nothing but love for the south. The NY rappers were all under the thumbs of jews, while the south was independent, and ushered in a modern sound.

Almost every black person in Chicago traces their roots back to Mississippi.

NY people in general, not just rappers, think the entire world is NYC and everyone else comes from a farm or some hick town... even people that are from 25 minutes away from NYC. That elitist attitude holds them back, where as the south always seemed to embrace one another. "I'm from ATL, oh you from HTX? Let's make a song" type shyt.
