back then red alert hosted a show on hot 97 which was the 5 o clock free ride basically an hour long mix show 5-6PM

he started throwing this song into his mixes each day and NOT saying what it was and no one knew who the hell it was either

the station started getting calls and requests for it then red alert said who the artist was etc...

then it shot straight into the top 4 at 4pm and then the top 8 at 8 with flex


rest is history


but if red alert didnt show the cut so much love(no other stations were playing it till after it blew up)

who knows what would have happened
