He avoided Margarito and its obvious.. didn't want another Floyd/Castillo happening
How are you even in the green? You stay saying stupid shyt.
Bob should have just gave him the money he wanted but we know how Top Gank rolls. According to the Devil himself Bob Arum stated Floyd would have took 8 million for Chetto but wanted a guaranteed 10 million for Cotto and Hatton and 20 million for De la Dildo. We know Bob turned that down because he didnt want to give Floyd that money in fact he went on and famously said Floyd would never get a $1 over 8 million which of course is why he ended up fighting Baldi for 8,000,001 just to prove a point. Everybody with a brain knows Chetto would have been thoroughly outboxed and outclassed by Floyd, thats easy work! Blame the Great Satan Bob Arum for this fight not happening because its all on him at the end of the day. You know Bob regrets that shyt now.
Good stuff.
But people cant say he ducked them because he ended up fighting them and making much, much more money. So this is a Bob Arum mistake. Floyd gambled on himself and won big.
Agreed. Also, if i'm not mistaken, Arum wanted to mold Floyd's personality into something similar to Oscar's Golden Boy persona. Floyd instead thought it would be better to be the villain and make more money. Money Mayweather persona was created right after he left Arum, no? (Probably about 2 fights after).

This begs the question....since you got it all figured out in regards to who & what would supposedly give Floyd all these "problems"...why weren't you championing Maidana all these years as a serious threat to Floyd instead of a guy that only managed to win 2 rds against him? :jbhmm:

So 10 Million guaranteed for Cotto & Hatton and 20 Million for De La Hoya is "pricing himself out" even though just one fight later after leaving Arum he would earn 8 Million against fukkin' Carlos Baldomir...and a year after that he would exceed the guaranteed purses that he proposed to Arum against De La Hoya & Hatton. :jbhmm:

If anything...Floyd undersold his market value to Arum. And Arum was either just too greedy or flatout terrible at his job (in that instance) because he had no foresight or understanding of Floyd's earning potential. And the earning potential of all those fights. And it cost him an absurd amount of money in the end.
Greed mostly.

Also...if Floyd ever stepped in the ring with Pacquiao, he'd be overwhlemed by Pac's volume, workrate and footspeed. He'd have nowhere to run and would lose either a clear decision or get KO'd!

Plus Pac is a southpaw. Floyd always struggles with southpaws.:smugbiden:

At the time Margaritos resume was pure garbage and his outings against daniel santos, joshua clottey and shotgun gomez did him zero favors. Beating an overhyped Cintron meant NOTHING in the longrun (other than him knocking out lucas brother aka billy ripken) Margaritos resume in hindsight is a fukking joke. His only real win is against Cotto and its highly questionable.

His loss to paul williams REALLY hurt his stock. At the time you know something crazy? If you watch baldomir vs gatti, you hear steward saying "ill give mayweather alot of credit if he takes on baldomir" and even on fakkit ass boxingscene people were praising mayweather for taking on baldomir who had the superior resume what @Black_Jesus is saying is revisionist history, it was only after mayweather put on a goddamn clinic and won the desicion against baldomir the margarito shyt started again. Then he fought de la hoya, a far superior fighter even out of his prime.

Margarito was beating 6 heads lewis while mayweather was winning titles in several divisions, the idea that a guy who fought castillo, corralles, hernandez, jesus chavez, and oddly enough augustus (one of his toughest fights) but avoided margarito is pure nonsense.

In the end, baldomir was unified champ (legitimately) and was actually seen as a legitimate threat. Why didint margarito chase vernon forrest (post injury), how about winky wright? how about anyone his own fukking size? Nobody calls him a coward, but yet hes chasing a guy who had barely been a year removed from 140. Yea.

Baldomir was this threat at welterweight now??? :mjlol:, but im the revisionist huh?

Baldomir would've lost to Margerito, Cotto, cintron, and Pwill.. please stop

Now all of a sudden we gonna act like resumes are the determining factor of how Floyd picks his opponents :camby:

Baldomir wasn't all that but Floyd did take some criticism for not him fighting him because at the time he fought Judah who lost to Baldomir. Even though Floyd/Judah was being talked about before Judah lost:aicmon:
