Eventually, people have to understand that it becomes more fiscally responsible to just build a rig one time, use the money they'd spend on incremental generational upgrades to just swap parts, and never have to buy a console again.
I have a friend who bought a Series X and intends on buying this. Spent full price on console gamepass every month with no deals, and bought some games outright to own like Halo. Plus, turned around and spent over a band on a mid-tier HP laptop that he leaves plugged in 100% of the time. Trying to explain to him he coulda used all that, got himself an above-average PC and not ended up with at least 2 boxes that'll be useless for anything but media streaming in 2 years
