Property taxes low when you live in the hood my G, they tax you based on property value which works for me because I ain’t trying to sell. I buy buy buy!
I can get a house on the westside or eastside of Detroit for $7K - $25K (it use to be $3K - $7K) invest another $15-20K. Pay $600-1100 annually for taxes and charge $800-1000 for rent (below $1100 monthly average) and make all my money back in 5 years (before the pandemic it use to only take me 3).
You can get houses for $1,100 here as well from buildingDetroit.org but they want you to fix them up in 6 months and they’re usually on abandoned “WOAT” city blocks

That’s Antonio, Wipeout (RIP) the CEO of Eastside Chedda Boyz son. It’s funny because I grew up with him when he use to live on 6 Mile & Russell street for a while. He was a good kid, always quiet, but it’s hard to not take on the streets when yo pops was a OG, passed away, and everybody you know from the street.
His pops was one of the reasons behind Biggie saying the “Stink pink gators, my detroit players” shout out in Hypnotize, but that’s a whole nother story for a whole nother time.

Grand Rapids, Benton Harbor, K Zoo, Battle Creek, Saginaw, Pontiac, and some parts of Muskegon are the hood fa sho, but that’s just it. Regular hood shyt.
But Detroit, Inkster, MI, and Flint, MI are different animals. It’s kill or be killed around those three cities. Straight Cutthroat. It’s also a different level of poverty in Flint Detroit and Inkster too.

That’s the problem, you can tell where dudes are at in life by the conversations they introduce and are entertained by. If your informing people on what you know that’s different but if your overly excited Or always talking about dumb nikka shyt, you need to grow up. A lot of these nikkas nowdays are an embarrassment to our younger men looking for guidance in our communities when all they have is a nikka named “Murda” or “Smoke” to look up to. We are losing pillars of the community because of what most these kids adaptation of what they think a man is vs the reality of a man and the responsibilities of leadership a stand up guy has.
