What really sticks in my craw is when the so called elites start yamming about Obama not being a strong leader as the reason for not breaking the republican fever.
Bob Woodward wrote a book on Obama's lack of leadership skills and that narrative has stuck, and will continue to stick, despite the fact that it is pretty clear now that Boehner cant control his caucus and the repub party is irreparably split.
They will still somehow demand that Obama save the republican party from their 'clinging to guns and religion' fervor.
Clinton the schmoozer gutted welfare to get out of his shut down, Obama gave them nothing, yet he still gotta schmooze?...fukk em and their passive cisms.

So all of this will just start again in 12 weeks except this time the Repubs will be smart enough to not focus on ObamaCare and instead look to get more sequestration concessions while the Dems will be attempting to raise taxes.
With it being an election year too neither side (especially in the House) is going to be willing to give an inch for fear of losing in November.

I'm listening to local talk radio and reading some conservative message boards

The Republicans and their tactics have been called reasonable and they are saying that this showdown is a 'draw'.

What're those 5 stages of grieving? Aren't disbelief and justification two of them? You can tell they know how badly they've lost because they try to soften it up so much.

The 'black voting block' and the biased media blah blah blah. Entitlement this and that.
So 80 mostly white Republican members of the House refuse to vote on shyt and who are we gonna point at? Those greedy, shiftless, unemployed and uneducated blacks.

Real talk I'm at the point where I about refuse to even entertain conservative arguments anymore. I'm cool with a good debate but this shyt has long left the arena of rational discourse. Like arguing with chickens with their heads cut off.

These people aren't conservatives. They are a mutation of what was once a legitimate but ostensibly incorrect philosophy. The current conservative movement is merely a means of continuing the trajectory of the transfer of wealth that has been going on since the 70s. Due to this they are treating politics like a company and are representing the company line regardless of their personal beliefs. Republicans with ideas are in the background. John Boehner is speaker because of his incredible fundraising ability, not because he every had any ideas. I don't know why you guys inundate yourself with that staff outside of comedy. Actual conservatives are stuck because this is the base they cultivated and now they have to placate them.
