China and Russia will not go to war for Syria or Iran, they view both countries strictly as economic interests.
Furthermore, Russia and China won't get involved in a war against The U.S or its allies. There's no incentive for that. Thus, there is no world war.
This isn't 1940. If Russia, China and the U.S and its allies, are involved in any conflicts, it will involve nuclear weapons and jeopardize the chances of humankind surviving. Countries aren't risking that for Syria
NATO is the U.S. and works in alliance with the U.N.
